The City of Corcoran has a Mayor position (four-year term), two Council Member positions (four-year term), and one Council Member position (Special Election to serve the remaining two years of a four-year term) included on the General Election ballot on November 5, 2024. The candidate filing date for the 2024 General Election opens July 30, 2024 and continues through August 13, 2024. The candidate withdrawal date is August 15, 2024.

Listed below are the filing requirements for those individuals seeking public office.
- Candidate must be an eligible voter.
- Candidate is, or will be on assuming the office, 21 years of age or older.
- Candidate has maintained residence in the district from which the candidate seeks election for 30 days before the general election.
- Candidates must file an Affidavit of Candidacy and pay a $10 filing fee with the City Clerk’s office at Corcoran City Hall located at 8200 County Road 116, Corcoran, MN 55340. City Hall is open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. - Noon on Fridays.
- Candidates must file Campaign Finance reporting documents.
